The newest song from upcoming film Badhaai Ho has been released in the form of Sajan Bade Senti. This track is a duet sung by Dev Negi and Harjot Kaur, while its music has been composed by the trio of Kaushik, Aakash, and Guddu, who are part of Pritam’s musical platform called Jam8. The lyrics for Sajan Bade Senti have been written by Vayu.
This song has been grabbing quite some attention ever since its release yesterday, and for all the right reasons. It’s an extremely energetic track, and takes most of its energy from the beautifully arranged chorus portions that utter words like, “Uff offo uff uff offo.” You have to listen to it once to understand what we’re talking about.
The song has been picturised around a baby shower, but we are also shown the characters of Ayushmann Khurrana and Sanya Malhotra having their own little party. Why they are not present at the baby shower is a question that will only be answered when we watch the film. Anyways, there’s a beautiful romance happening between the characters of Gajraj Rao and Neena Gupta as well. The visuals of both father and son drooling over their respective partners bring an element of humour into the mix.
Same can be said about the lyrics of this song. Sajan Bade Senti is about the eagerness to get into bed with the partner. Making this very clear are the lines, “Paas bulave sunle sohni aaja. Bhari huyi hai, nazar ki chashni. Chalegi ab toh palang pe kushti. Aaja baby bhula ke susti aaja.” Vayu’s lyrics and the wonderfully fresh music do the trick for this song.
Badhaai Ho’s music has been great so far. Tanishk Bagchi’s Badhaaiyan Tenu was the first song to be released from the soundtrack. It was followed by the feisty Morni Banke. Nain Na Jodeen was the next track to be launched. This sad duet composed by Rochak Kohli has been sung by Ayushmann Khurrana and Neha Kakkar. Sajan Bade Senti is the fourth song from the album.
Badhaai Ho’s narrative revolves around a couple with two full-grown kids finding out that they are about to have a third one. This film is being directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma and is slated to be released on October 19 in theatres across India.
