Ae Dil Hai Mushkil
This film can easily be described as a musical, and the music that makes it that is just spectacular. Not a song sounds mediocre in the entire album. While Channa Mereya takes the cake as the finest track from the album, the others are also extraordinary.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan
Salman Khan’s 2015 blockbuster was made extra special by its soundtrack. Songs like Tu Chahiye, Tu Jo Mila and Zindagi Kuch Toh Bata evoked all kinds of emotions within us, while Selfie Le Le Re and Chicken Song provided healthy dance music for our parties. And above all was the qawwali Bhar Do Jholi sung so brilliantly by Adnan Sami.
Barfi
This album still occupies space on the playlists of a large number of people. It’s an absolutely flawless soundtrack that can best be described as timeless. Barfi is not just one of Pritam’s best albums, it’s actually one of the best albums ever to have come out of Bollywood.
Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani
This album is basically track after track filled with extreme levels of musical goodness. Kabira and Badtameez Dil are two songs that are still played on numerous occasions, but the other tracks like Ghagra, Dilliwaali Girlfriend and Balam Pichkari are also unforgettable.
Life in a… Metro
It’s the album that put Pritam on the radar. Not a song in this one is passable. Whether it’s the soulful In Dino or the pristinely romantic Baatein Kuch Ankahein Si, or even the emotionally charged O Meri Jaan, the music in Life in a… Metro is top-notch, to say the least.
