Did you ever feel like going all ‘ROFL’ after watching some show which is not seriously comic? People who have watched the newest Miss Bangladesh videos on social media must know the reason for this sudden question!
We have witnessed dumb contestants at Miss *whatever country you want to put* events but one Bangladeshi contestant outdid everybody, confidently! We couldn’t believe our ears after listening to what she had to offer as her answer to one of the most (apparently) easiest questions ever! Well, lets safely say, “easy” is a relative word again! And yes, its okay not to know something, but at this age, social media will never spare you, mind it!
When we thought beauty with brains was a concept only in Jane Austen books, Miss Bangladesh videos proved us all right once again. When a judge asked this one contestant to describe what ‘H2O’ is, she stumped us all. Probably a standard 7 student would be capable of answering this basic question, but we respect exceptions! However, when the lady was questioned, she looked blank for quite some time, gaining some laughs and added stares filled with sarcasm from the audience. But, her confidence seemed unflinching! When the entire nation and international viewers thought she’d finally realize her mistake and probably, we don’t know, apologize, she started speaking of a restaurant named ‘H2O’ in the heart of Bangladesh! Wait, what?
The judge, by this time already fed up with her immense dumbness, couldn’t help but declare it to be a sorry state that someone doesn’t know that ‘H2O’ is water but proudly confirms that she has been to the restaurant named so. Yes, how on Earth did she think that ‘Miss Bangladesh’ was her place to shine? Well, we are not judging yet, but that’s a way too high aim for her maybe!
Not knowing how to react, the camera focused on another judge who asked a question as simple as 3 wishes, and another contestant didn’t happen to understand this very ‘non-intellectual’ question as well.

As a matter of fact, we feel the selection parameters of such an international event is at faults here. How on earth could contestants like these even reach the final rounds? Knowing or not knowing certain things are a different question altogether but its high time beauty contest organizers get serious about the selection procedure to not make a fool out of the whole situation and become a target of laughter world wide!
