The makers of the Ranbir Kapoor starrer Sanju shared their latest poster. The poster has Ranbir Kapoor as Sanjay and Manisha Koirala as his mother Nargis …wait or is that an original image of Nargis Dutt?
Yep, that’s exactly what happened to me! When I first saw the poster, I thought it was actually Nargis in the poster. Manisha Koirala as Nargis is a perfect fit! She has an uncanny resemblance to Nargis who was known for her beauty. Manisha in the poster reminds us of Nargis from Raj Kapoor’s Shree 420.

Speaking to HotFridayTalks.com, from Lucknow where she is currently shooting for Sanjay Dutt’s home production,Prasthaanam, Manisha said, “It was wonderful and a great honor playing Nargis Dutt. She was such a legendary figure in Indian cinema and to be playing her on screen was such an honor.”
Manisha shares that she was not sure she would be able to do justice to the role and was very nervous at first. “When they approached me with the role, I was not very sure I could do it. I wasn’t sure whether I would look the part or do justice to it but after I met Rajkumar Hirani all my fears and doubts were put to rest. He made me feel so much at ease and I knew I would be able to do it. Even though mine is a guest appearance, working for the film has been a great experience,” adds Manisha.
Sanju also stars Anushka Sharma, Manisha Koirala, Vicky Kaushal, Dia Mirza, Karishma Tanna, Jim Sarbh and Boman Irani in lead roles. The film has been co-written by Rajkumar Hirani and Abhijaat Joshi and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. Director of Sanju, Rajkumar Hirani wrote while sharing the new poster; “She lovingly called him #Sanju, and now that’s what we all do too! Aren’t we glad Manisha said yes to the role because nobody else would have done justice to the role other than the ever beautiful and talented Manisha Koirala!
