Huma Qureshi is still reeling in excitement and raving about her debut Tamil film Kaala and her co-star Rajnikanth. A few days back Huma tweeted about how excited she was about Kaala and how she can’t wait to show the film to her friends etc.

Looks like Huma’s interesting journey in the Tamil film industry has begun with a bang! Huma will soon be romancing another Tamil superstar, Venkatesh Daggubati in an upcoming multi starrer, which will be helmed by ‘Power’ and ‘Jai Lava Kusa’ fame director Bobby.

According to sources, the makers of this upcoming film were very impressed with Huma Qureshi’s work in the yet to be released Kaala, so they approached her to play the female lead opposite Venkatesh Daggubati also popularly known as Victory Venkatesh.
Huma who made her Bollywood debut with Gangs of Wasseypur in 2012 has come a long way and her work on films Bollywood films like D-Day, Highway, Badlapur and Jolly LLB 2 have also been appreciated. Currently, Huma is waiting for the release Kaala directed by Pa Ranjith in which she is playing a college student. Kaala is all set to release on 7 June.
But Huma is not new to South cinema. In 2016, she had made her Mollywood debut opposite Mammootty with White which was a romantic-drama directed by Uday Ananthan. However, the film did not do too well at the box office.

Venkatesh, on the other hand, was last seen in Sudha Kongra’s sport based drama Guru, the remake of Tamil hit movie Irudhi. Venkatesh has a handful of other projects too and is currently working on his upcoming film with director Teja which is rumored to be title Aata Naade Veta Naade. Besides this commercial flick, Venkatesh also has the multi-starrer F2: Fun & Frustration co-starring Varun Tej and directed by Anil Ravipudi. It is also being said that Venkatesh will act alongside nephew Naga Chaitanya and this multi-starrer will be directed by KS Ravindra.
It’s an exciting time ahead for Huma and Venkatesh fans!
