Janhvi Kapoor is a living example of how a person can be unstoppable once she has hit rock bottom. Just ahead of her debut in Bollywood, Dhadak, she suffered an irreplaceable loss, the loss of her mother. She had kept herself wholeheartedly immersed in work which is now slowly paving her way to success.

Reports are that she has bagged the role of Gunjan Saxena, one of India’s first female combat aviators who was posted in Kargil for the war in 1999. The movie is a biopic produced by Karan Johar. Reports have assured that Janhvi shall start off with the basic training for the movie. The training includes flying lessons and a good grip on how the Indian Air Force functions and lives.

She has previously spent time with Gunjan Saxena and aims to spend more quality sessions with her. These meetings are to comprehend and inculcate as much of Gunjan as she can, in herself. Akin to Desmond T Doss (Hacksaw Ridge) of World War II, Gunjan was also celebrated for saving many injured soldiers, evacuating them from Kargil and flying through Kashmir facing near death experiences. On safely bringing the heroes home, she was felicitated with the highest honorary award ever given to a female, Shaurya Vir.

This movie is a great opportunity for Janhvi as she can relate to Gunjan: both undergoing extreme hardship. The former lost her mother one fine day and the other had quite a few brushes with death. It is unimaginable how one can overcome the loss of a mother, specially one like Sridevi who was her one true guide in this world of glitz and glamour whom she could blindly trust on, yet we see Jahnvi on her toe, shuffling projects and delivering performances. She is no less heroic than the power-house woman she is about to portray.

The movie is set to release in the first half of 2019 as the Indian audience wait eagerly to see Janhvi in a completely different avatar.
