Mallika Dua has admitted that she doesn’t make too many friends easily and she is very choosy when it comes to making friends and sharing a bond. Most of the friends she has made are the people she met through her work and theater.

However, she is grateful for the show The Trip for giving her some of the best friends for life. Mallika who will soon be seen in Bindass’ The Trip 2. The first season revolved around four childhood friends who go on a road trip to Thailand to celebrate a bachelorette party. Mallika is grateful to Trip season 1 and 2 because of the kind of sisterhood and bonding that she has formed with her co-stars Shweta Tripathi, Sapna Pabbi, Lisa Haydon and Amyra Dastur.

The team has recently wrapped up shooting for the second season of The Trip and Mallika has already started missing her friends especially Shweta Tripathi. Speaking about what friendship means to her Mallika told HotFridayTalks.com,“I don’t make too many friends and I am very particular about the friends that I make. But, some of the best friendships that I have in life are ones that I made through theatre or work. I am eternally grateful for both Trip season one and 2 because the kind of sisterhood and bonding that I have with Shweta, Sapna and Lisa and now Amyra is something you don’t really get to experience. Because, as actors, we don’t go to the office every day where we have the opportunity to form bonds with people over time. So, it’s our project and our proximity during that project that gives us those friendships. It’s been only a few days since we wrapped but I miss them already especially Shweta.”

Shweta Tripathi too agrees that friends bring a smile to one’s face.

“Friend- just the word brings a smile to my face. They make our lives complete. Wholesome. Crazy! The Trip story started with a story of friends but none of us ever thought that we’ll become that close in our ‘real’ lives as well. We all are on each other’s instant dial now,” added Shweta.

Today is the day to celebrate such friendships! Happy Friendship Day!
