We live in a time where the workforce is evolving every day. From a traditional full time job to a flexible role to multiple part time jobs, the modern workforce has found a plethora of options for themselves. Be it out of passion and interest or strictly out of financial pressure, juggling between multiple part time gigs is becoming very common these days. While it sounds lucrative and adventurous, it is ten times more challenging. Sometimes in between fulfilling your commitments to these multiple jobs, you will find yourself incapable of holding yourself together. Thus, here are few tips that might help you if you are already down this road.

The three words that you are probably very tired of hearing are actually your life savers in this situation. You cannot afford carelessness and procrastination when you are committed to multiple jobs. Hence, it is almost necessary that you get organized, follow a schedule, and plan your week in advance. To get organized, it is preferable to use some software or an application that can help you stay up to date with your plans and daily schedule. Adopting a schedule is extremely important if you want to successfully finish all your jobs. Be realistic with your deadlines and follow your schedule strictly. Scheduling will also allow you to take out time for things outside your professional space like running errands, meeting friends etc.
Adopting a daily schedule will not be enough. It is advisable to plan your week ahead of time. Once you find your workload distributed throughout the week, you will feel much more comfortable and you will also be in a position to take smarter decisions. It will make you more efficient and prepare you for any upcoming contingency.
You Are Important

Always remember that you will be able to pull off these multiple jobs only if YOU yourself remain capable of doing it. Thus, it is important to take care of yourself and give yourself a break whenever necessary. Make sure you are sleeping enough, eating well, and exercising regularly. Do not take on more than you can handle. Make sure you get some to relax EVERY DAY. Juggling between multiple jobs can be mentally tiring and hence it is very crucial that you give yourself enough time to relax each and every day. If you don’t do that, not only will it affect your productivity at work but it will also severely affect your health.
Where Are You Headed?
It is absolutely necessary to have an end goal in your mind if you are down this road. Is this something you are planning to do all your life? Or is this your way of collecting money to pursue your startup goals? Or is this a temporary condition before you settle for a full time job? Irrespective of what it is, you need to move ahead with a clear mind. If this is a temporary career choice, it is always better to have a timeframe in mind. Otherwise, you will never know when to end it. Having a goal in mind will help you realize when it’s time to move on and start something new.
All the best!
