We are often left confused about how to have that distinct and smart look right before our presentation. The day you have a presentation is the day when all the eyes will be on you, and nervous as you are about how well the presentation is going to go down with the others, you have to look your best as well.
It might be a tad bit too tiring after you have stayed up the whole preparing yourself for the presentation, and then to look your best in the morning, but, unfortunately, there are no two ways to it. You cannot afford to look shabby, the dark circles from the previous night cannot show on your face, and no matter how great your presentation is, your appearance and your dress has to be equally great, if not greater. So, here are a few hacks which will help you dress up smart for your presentation:
Distracting The Audience Will Be Useless
Yes, dressing smartly is important, but try and avoid dressing so nicely that the entire attention of the audience is towards what you are wearing and not what you are saying. That will be a loss to your company. Keep your outfit as formal as possible. And if you have glasses, then go for the plain ones and not the ones with a colourful frame. It would be best if you could get contacts. Even a bit of jewellery is fine, like an ear stud, but make sure it is not anything too flashy.

Professionalism is a must for a successful presentation, and what you wear will say a lot about your professionalism. The ladies, if you are going for a skirt and a shirt, then make sure your shirt is of a light colour or a neutral shade like navy blue or black, and your skirt should be till your knee. It should also be well tailored and be of good fabric. The age old classic combination of a white shirt and a black skirt is also a great choice as it reeks of professionalism and you can never go wrong with this.
Mind Your Shoes
A gentleman is known by the shoes you wear. You may think that your shoes will not visible so you can cut yourself some slack in that field, but you actually cannot. Your shoes definitely need to be polished and clean. If you are wearing heels, make sure your heels are not too uncomfortable and that you can manage yourself in them. If not, wear flat sandals, but do not go for noisy heels as they do not give off great vibes of professionalism.

If you have long hair, try getting it straightened and then tie it in a classy pony tail. If you have not had the time to get it straightened, make sure your hair does not cover half of your face. Great as it may look in photos, it gets very distracting for the audience, and you too will face a great deal of difficulty if you have to move your hair away from your face.
Follow these simple hacks and you’ll be good to go for a great presentation.
