We are all for following our own path, our passion and making our dream come true. Also, many of us believe that some things are meant for us and some are not. But whatever career path you may choose, there are some things that you need to follow on a timeline, instead of any regrets later.
While many of us are not sticklers for time, there are some things that you need to sort before 30. These things have to be taken care of sooner, rather than later.

Gauravi Ganesh Pai, Assistant Manager at G P Parsik Bank asserts that you have to garner some decent work experience and build a reliable network, including a few mentors. She says, “It is important to have a good rapport with your colleagues and bosses. You should also learn to work under pressure, and build a good portfolio.”
Here are some other skills that you need to master before 30 for a great career ahead.
Understand Your Superpower
You need to find out what you are really good at. You should be able to use your strengths to the optimum, to get ahead in the race. The base of the hierarchical pyramid is wide, and you need to be able to stand out to make a headway. So, whether it is communication, negotiation, memory or a technical skill, you need to master your prowess.
Know Your Weaknesses
You need to identify your weak spots, and work on them. This will also help you to avoid situations that may make you vulnerable. For instance, if you cannot perform under stress situations, you will know to finish tasks before they come too close to deadline. Gauravi also says that knowing your strengths and weaknesses, and using them to your benefit is important.
Learn What Are Non-Negotiables
You don’t want to waste energy agreeing to things that really do not align with what you want to be doing. So, really be honest about what you want and need out of your career, and then come up with a list of non-negotiables that you can use as a guide next time you are making a career decision. Gauravi says, “You have to know your limits, and learn to say No.”
Learn To Take Feedback
You must be able to take criticism in the right spirit. It is important to learn from your mistakes, but also not be dithered by every negative feedback. If you are shaken by every harsh word, you might not be able to grow or use any crisis situation as an opportunity.
Know How To Delegate
No one can do it all, and especially as you climb the career ladder, you are going to need to know the difference between the things you should be spending your time on and the things you should delegate. It is important to be able to effectively and comfortably delegate to others.
These skills are important and need to be mastered before 30, so you can get ahead in your career.
