So, why does not a passionate person quit his job to become a full-time traveller?

Tanayesh says, “I would rather keep travel blogging as a full-time passion and not make it into a profession. This way I believe I will be able to do quality work in the way I love, without bowing to the pressure of the clients to earn money and pay my bills. Also, after working the entire day in office, it always feels great to do something which I really love doing at the end of the day. And that is to help people to travel the world on a budget.”

Tanayesh is driven to travel due to the novel and unique experiences different destinations offer. It not only rejuvenates his mind, but he gets to meet people who have interesting stories to share. He says, “Travelling allows me to meet people from various background and moreover, every person has a unique story to tell. These are the stories of beautiful culture, lifestyle, food, music, and such other interesting facets.”

While every destination is unique and special, Tanayesh has some favourites. For instance, he can never forget his trip to Venice and Florence, which were his first international destinations. He also remembers Cappadocia in Turkey as this was the place from where he began travel blogging. He says, “I like Egypt too, but not because of the pyramids. What I like is the rich culture and heritage, and the grandeur of Temple of Luxor. Another favourite is Santorini in Greece because of its fairytale beauty. I also tremendously like photography in Paris, where every nook and corner of the city is like a piece of art.”

Tanayesh’s blog focusses on providing budget travel tips. He writes through his own experiences. He says, “I believe through my personal travel experiences, that to make memories while travelling you don’t have to splurge. The dream of travelling the world should not be curbed by the balance in your bank and that’s what inspires me while writing about my journey. Whenever I would want to travel, I would read a lot but none of the material would help me to plan a budget trip, with a detailed itinerary and helpful tips. And that is why I want to help people through my experiences. Now I even have included my WhatsApp number on the blog, from which people can ask me questions directly. And I try to help as much as I can.”

Tanayesh likes to travel with a detailed plan, and yet he does not mind getting lost on his journeys to explore something new. He sometimes walks for more than 15 km in a new city, just to get the feel of it. He likes talking to the locals and hearing stories from them. Often, he discovers some lesser known place because of the locals, which is not marked on the tourist itinerary.

Tanayesh wants to visit the remaining two Wonders of the World on his bucket list in the next two years. He also plans to go on an African Safari to follow the Great Migration. And also try the Scuba Diving at Great Barrier Reef in Australia. Tanayesh is following his own passion and hopes to cover 40 countries before he is 40 years of age.

Tanayesh lives his passion for travelling with no strings attached and writes his heart out at Shoestring Travel.
