There is really no definite time to have the “make it official” talk with your significant other because relationships nowadays have different tags to them. The kiss you thought was “an official commencement of your long-awaited relationship” was actually a casual “friends with benefit”. While some couple pretty easily gets into a committed relationship, some of them find it difficult to understand whether they really are a couple. Apart from them, several dating apps make it an absolutely confusing situation where the one you like might actually be talking to several other people and you simply won’t know unless you have a conversation. Assumptions, logic and reason, you won’t know for sure if you are on the same page or not.

Traditionally speaking, it is perfectly alright to talk about making your relationship official in a couple of months. But talk about it only when you’re sure!

Here are a few things you could consider before you make your relationship an official one:

Be Confident

If you’re the sort of couple who meet very rarely and your other partner does not ask about you, then probably he/she isn’t really interested and is very casual about it. However, if you meet often and make efforts to catch up then things might be going somewhere! Be confident to answer the question, “Does he/she like you?”

Introduce Them To Your Friends

If you’re unsure about your partner’s feeling for you, your friends would definitely be able to help you with that! What are friends for! Your friends would be able to tell you how your partner reacts around you or if they are interested and have a way of looking at you.

Don’t Jump Right In

Traditionally speaking, two months sounds perfect to broach the subject of making the relationship official with your partner. However, don’t jump right into one without carefully assessing your feelings for one another if you don’t want your happy relationship to fizzle out.

In a nutshell, it’s best to be patient and see where the dating takes you! If you genuinely like one another, you spend a couple of months getting to know each other and see how the other person feels for you. If you see that they show equal interest in you and make efforts for you, you can have the official talk and make your relationship work. There’s nothing more beautiful than that. But the best fruits come with immense patience!
