A student of dentistry, Nikhita Gandhi had been a student of AR Rahman’s K.M College of Music and Technology. She has a very strong base of music and her claim to fame lies in the song, Ladio from the movie I. The song was composed by A.R Rahman and the song was recorded within just four hours. Raabta was a song which was Nikhita Gandhi’s first step in B town. The song is not just amazing but it has a soulful touch to it which remains etched in our hearts. The song features Deepika Padukone in a guest appearance. The husky voice of Nikhita Gandhi does touch us deep and even though the song has been compared to the older version of the song sung by Shreya Ghoshal, Raabta is definitely one of Nikhita Gandhi’s best works.
Qaafirana – The Soulful Track Of Love
Qaafirana is from the movie Kedarnath which stars Sara Ali Khan and Sushant Singh Rajput. The movie has given us some great songs and Qaafirana is definitely one of them. This is a duet between Arijit Singh and Nikhita Gandhi. The lyrics of the song has been penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya. The song beautifully weaves the chemistry between Sara and Sushant and Nikhita Gandhi deserves a lot of praise for lending her voice to this song.
Ladio – The One Which Made Her Famous
Ladio could never have gone wrong because it is composed by the living legend, A.R Rahman, and it was his determination that took Nikhita Gandhi forward and gave her the limelight. Her husky voice added all the charm that the song needed and this was the song which was her first step on the ladder of success.
Dhayaan Chand – The Rocking Punjabi Track
Manmarziyan has been compared to Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. Although there were glaring similarities between the two movies but the soundtrack of Manmarziyan is vastly different. Dhayaan Chand is a peppy and quirky Punjabi track, sung by Vijay Yamla, Nikhita Gandhi, Suhas Sawant and Amit Trivedi. It is like those special songs of Amit Trivedi which do not escape your mind and this time it is Nikhita Gandhi’s voice which stands out.
Other than these she has won great fame for singing Aao Kabhi Haveli Pe and Humshakal. With that voice and with that kind of devotion, she is sure to go a very long way in B town.
