Where there is beautiful Punjabi-influenced music, there is Rochak Kohli. Born in Chandigarh, Kohli has composed many songs for Ayushmann Khurrana and Bollywood movies, which have been well-received His songs are generally written in Punjabi and have a rare soothing quality which is rarely found in many modern songs. He made his Bollywood debut with Ayushmann Khurrana’s “Pani Da” which earned him fame and popularity, and he’s moving on to more experiments to expand his career. “Paaniyo Sa” For Satyameva Jayate (2018)

A melodious love-song in an action movie, Kohli’s flowing music touches your heart. Musical instruments such as steel and nylon guitars, mandolin, bozuki and plucks have been added to the background score. Starring John Abraham and Amruta Khanvilkar, the song is taken to just another level with the vocals of Atif Aslam and Tulsi Kumar.

“Chan Kitthan” (2018) – Ayushmann’s Single

An Ayushmann Khurrana favorite perfectly set to tune by Rochak Kohli. A single music video featuring Khurrana as an Inspector and social volunteer Pranitha Subhash, this is a story about a couple going through tough times. The soft background score and the lovely lyrics in Khurrana’s husky voice make it a perfect song for lovers.

“Tera Yaar Hu Main” For Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (2018)

Centered around the wedding ceremony of Titu and Sweety, this heart-melting song is all about friendship. The beat moves up and down in the second half of the song with the use of guitars and harpejji. The video stars Kartik Aaryan, Sunny Singh and Nushrat Bharucha. “Tera Yaar” has been sung by Arijit Singh, Sumerjit Kumar and Anita Bhatt.

“Pal” For Monsoon Shootout (2017)

Said to be the most romantic track of 2017, it was Kohli who lent his magic to this song set in a crime drama. Starring Vijay Varma, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Geetanjali Thapa, it is about love and a sense of confusion. This memorable track was sung by the Singer of Love Songs, Arijit Singh.

“O Heeriye” (2013) – Another Single By Ayushmann Khurrana

A romantic song about a couple madly in love, Ayushmann Khurrana and Rochak Kohli create magic in this song. With Punjabi lyrics and a soft background score, it describes one’s love for his beloved. The music video features Ayushmann Khurrana and Rhea Chakraborty.

“Pani Da” For Vicky Donor (2012)

“Pani Da” was Kohli’s debut song that skyrocketed him to success. The music video centers on the budding romance with Ayushmann Khurrana and Yami Gautam. The guitar background score, Ayushmann’s voice and Rochak Kohli’s composition made it a success overnight.

Rochak Kohli has completed composing music for Amit Ravindernath Sharma’s black comedy “Badhaai Ho” starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Sanya Malhotra. Next, he has composed a song for Shelly Chopra Dhar’s “Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga”, which is yet to be titled.
