Swedish House Mafia Reunites: Ultra Surprise at Ultra Music Festival!

“Don’t you worry; don’t you worry child. See heaven’s got a plan for you!”

Anyone who remembers this line, anyone who is a fan of this line got the biggest surprise of the year at the 20th Anniversary of Ultra Music Festivals. After five years of hiatus from the music scene the band reunited this year, much to the fans’ and musicians’ excitement and joy.

Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello are the famous trio that were seen performing together at this prestigious festival, directly after their last performance, named ‘One Last Tour’ way back in 2010. This year they set the stage on fire after performing the international hit, ‘Miami 2 Ibiza’ on the third day of Ultra.

While for some this was a surprise, a recent surmise of their Instagram page shows that this reunion was all but confirmed. Though the band’s manager Amy Thomson denied any rumours months prior to this festival, Reddit users have supposedly cracked a secret code that revealed that the group was indeed coming back for a performance at the prestigious music festival.

Their performance was a secret surprise act that would have followed bands such as Deadmau5 and French duo, the all popular Daft Punk.

In addition to all the experience and thrill that closed the music festival, several music artists and fans stormed twitter with the news, including some top-class names such as Afrojack, and Hardwell. They all had plenty to say about this extremely iconic group of musicians.

Their songs have won the hearts of thousands of fans. “Don’t You Worry Child” released in 2012, featuring John Martin a fellow Swede for the vocals, was something we shall never forget. It also went on to win a nomination in the category of the best dance recording in the Grammy awards in 2012.

Every fan of EDM music is waiting with bated breath to see and hear new tunes from the group. Their small reunion has already caused much of the media attention to focus on them, and only time will tell if they do reunite for new music in 2018.
