Neeti Mohan’s melodic Kithe Reh Gaya had grabbed quite some attention when it was released back in late January. Perhaps that’s the reason why the T-Series YouTube channel has released the track once again in the form of a lyrical version. The Abhijit Vaghani composition, which features Kumaar’s lyrics, is a playful song that really manages to create a pleasant vibe.
Kithe Reh Gaya is about a groom being late for his ring ceremony. While eagerly awaiting his arrival, the bride sings, “Ring ceremony aaj rakhwa ke. Band baaja aaj party ch bula ke, mahi mera kithe reh gaya. Card shagna de aaj chhapwa ke. Band baaja aaj party ch bula ke, mahi mera kithe reh gaya.”
The song is a great blend of soft beats and strong instrumental presence. Abhijit Vaghani deserves a lot of praise for this composition, and so does Neeti Mohan for rendering it beautifully. Her job wasn’t all that hard, but she has pulled it off in a very disciplined manner.
The music video shot by T-Series for this song has been kept the same, with only lyrics having been superimposed over it. This video stays true to the lyrics and has Neeti Mohan playing the bride who is awaiting the groom’s arrival. We are shown that the groom is late and is being driven in a rash manner by one of his friends or family members. When his car breaks down, he borrows a plane and arrives at the wedding finally. Although the sequences featuring Neeti have been shot very well, the ones with the groom feature shoddy visual effects.
The original Kithe Reh Gaya has till date garnered more than 9 million views on YouTube since its release on January 31. You can watch the newly released lyrical video in the space above.
