Just when you were thinking that you could never get enough of the “High Rated Gabru” stance from Nawabzaade, here’s yet another energetic track that will make you keep your dancing shoes on. The peppy item number “Mummy Kasam” is the latest ‘Nawabzaade’ song, where the characters can be seen shaking a leg in the typical Bollywood masala style.

The music video features Raghav Juyal, Punit Pathak and Dharmesh Yelande wooing Sanjeeda Shaikh, who looks gorgeous in a hot-pink lehenga in a rural North Indian setting. TV actress Sanjeeda Shaikh has made a special appearance for the song, and she has received positive reviews for her energy and dancing. Jayesh Pradhan, who is the director of the movie, has also done a good work with the choreography here. Pradhan informs, “All the three boys in the film are fantastic dancers. People have seen the three boys indulge in dance forms such as hip hop, popping and locking. With this song you get to see them explore typical Bollywood masala style of dancing. The song has turned out quite good. I am positive it will be liked by people.” The song has been sung by Gurinder Seagal and Payal Dev. Gurinder Seagal has also composed the music of this track.

Coming to the lyrics, penned down by Kunal Verma, like any item song, it is fun but slightly borders on sexuality and misogyny as the male actors describe their kind of a girlfriend. The rap done by Ikka is good enough to blend well with the melody. Call it predictable, the female singer retorts by dismissing the feelings of, in this case, three lovers. The music is catchy and foot-tapping, with its loud beats, the use of the flute and the harmonica.

Produced by Lizelle D’souza and Mayur K Barot, Nawabzaade, a romantic comedy revolving around 3 friends and their love interest, is all set to hit the screens on July 27th, 2018.

Overall, “Mummy Kasam” is another go-to item song to add to your playlist, simply added with a touch of masala formula to increase box office numbers.
