Aastha Gill is on quite a roll right now, even as the singer has just released one more song for hers. This one has been created in association with the much talked about short video app, TikTok. Called Jeetega Saara India, it is exclusively available on the said platform, and celebrates the upcoming Cricket World Cup that will be taking place in England and Wales from May 30 onwards.

What you must know however, is that this is not a completely new composition. As its name suggests, Jeetega Saara India has been set to the tune of Aastha’s recent release Saara India, with the original lyrics having been replaced by relevant cricket-based lyrics. So the lines, “Tu mainu saara India, ghuma de sohneya. Na koi tere warga, dikha de sohneya” become, “Jeetega saara India, history dohrani hai. Jeetega saara India, trophy ghar laani hai.”

Commenting on this track, Aastha said, “World Cup springs a feeling of patriotism that energises a nation. So, when I decided to work on a World Cup song exclusively for TikTok, I wanted to bring alive the same spirit for the rest of us. I knew it had to be to the tune of Saara India now called Jeetega Saara India. This song aims to be a slogan that we all will be rallying around to cheer for the Indian cricket team.”

TikTok India director of business development and music partnerships, Mayank Gandotra said, “Jeetega Saara India captures the feeling of every Indian who wants team India to bring the World Cup home and we are hoping that our users will spread this feeling by creating content using the TikTok World Cup anthem. This is our way of bringing the entire TikTok community and the country together to support the Indian team during this tournament.”

The song has been released under the Sony Music India banner, but it’s exclusively available via TikTok for now. We wonder if they have any plans to release it on other platforms.
