What If Alia Bhatt Choose To Act In These 5 Genres?

The gorgeous Alia Bhatt is all geared up for her upcoming film Raazi, directed by Meghna Gulzar and produced by Karan Johar. The film, which is set to release in May 2018, features Alia and Vicky Kaushal in lead roles. It is an adaptation of Harinder Sikka’s novel Calling Sehmat, about a Kashmiri spy married to a Pakistani man during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971..

Be it Veera Tripathi from Highway or Mary Jane from Udta Punjab or Kaira from Dear Zindagi or Vaidehi from Badrinath Ki Dulhania, we’ve loved her always. But we think Alia should also take up challenges and try out new characters like Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and other contemporaries. Not that we are complaining, but being at the peak of her career, she can easily afford to try her hands to play some characters that will show her versatility as an actor.

Here are five different varieties of characters we want to see Alia Bhatt playing in her future films

A Sporty Character

Remember how we all enjoyed watching Priyanka Chopra play the fierce boxer in ‘Mary Kom,’ or Anushka Sharma, who rocked on-screen as the female wrestler in Sultan or who can forget the ‘Dhaakad’ Dangal girls – Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra? We would love to see Alia in a sports woman’s character. BTW, Alia you really have to pull up your socks here as your contemporary – Shraddha Kapoor will be playing shuttler Saina Nehwal in her biopic next year.

A Gangster Woman

Though Bollywood mostly has male gangsters to boast about, thanks to some great actresses who dared to play dacoits or gangsters on screen, we got films like Haseena Parkar, Revolver Rani, Bandit Queen, Gulaab Gang to watch.
Wouldn’t it be crazy to see Alia donning a dacoit or gangster’s avatar?

A Physically Challenged Character

Kalki Koechlin played a cerebral palsy-afflicted teenager in Margarita With A Straw, Priyanka Chopra played an autistic heiress in Barfi, Rani Mukerji played a blind and deaf girl in Black. Portraying a differently abled person is tough and we wish if Alia takes up the challenge in the future.

An Action Film

Rani Mukerji kicked some serious butt in Mardaani, while Katrina Kaif’s powerful fighting capabilities were seen in Ek Tha Tiger and will be seen in Tiger Zinda Hai as well. Priyanka Chopra too looked stunning with a gun in her hand when she stepped into the role of Interpol hunting don with her brains, guns and a whole lot of guts! Alia should definitely join the badass women’s gang soon!

Shivani Roy from Mardaani and Zoya from Ek Tha Tiger totally nailed it when it came to kicking some butts!

A Period Drama

Bollywood period dramas have been exploring the culture and the history of India meticulously. The costumes, the sets, the music, the dialogues, the mood everything has always been grand about this genre of filmmaking. Period dramas are treat to watch as they bring forth the magnificent tradition, culture and history of India. We wish to see Alia in a period film like Jodhaa Akbar, Bajirao Mastani, Asoka, Padmavati to name a few.
