Love Lessons Learnt From Shah Rukh Khan’s Kal Ho Na Ho

It’s one of the best films when it comes to lessons on life, friendship, and love

It’s been 14 years since Kal Ho Na Ho released but the film still manages to touch a chord even today. It’s one of the best films when it comes to lessons on life, friendship, and love.

A recap of what the film was all about:

Naina(Preeti Zinta) is an introvert with some family responsibilities on her shoulders, which makes her more serious in life. She’s one of those no-nonsense kinds of people until one day her soul is awakened by the happy-go-lucky Aman, who teaches her how to live life. She starts falling in love with Aman (Shah Rukh Khan), but Aman is harboring a secret that keeps him from reciprocating Naina’s love. But he wants her to find love and be happy in life, so he sets off on a mission to find someone to love her.He meets Rohit(Saif Ali Khan) who is Naina’s old classmate and they are best friends. Aman tries to play matchmaker between them and succeeds. However, Naina loves Aman, who although also in love with her, rejects her love because of a life-threatening illness that he has.

The film taught us all some valuable lessons on love and here’s what we learnt:

You forget to look for love in the most obvious places sometimes. Love could be your best friend too.

Kal Ho Na Ho

Always begin a new relationship by being honest about your past. Let out the truth even if it’s difficult to do so before you start afresh.

Never judge someone because everyone goes through or is going through their own struggles. Don’t judge them by what they say or do, you never know what they are going through.

Kal Ho Na Ho

You don’t always get to be with the one you love, but you can love them enough to let go of your own happiness.

Don’t give up on love just because you have been hurt, there is always that special someone somewhere who will love your silly ways or love you just the way you are. Don’t lose hope.

If you love someone do not be afraid to tell them so because life’s too short!
