Lemon juice is a rich source of citric acid that will help to remove the tan. It also has natural bleaching properties that will help to prevent or reduce the appearance of any pigmentation on the skin.

Quick tip: Just cut a lemon in half and rub the fleshy and juicy part on your face, or on the other exposed parts of your skin. Make sure to avoid the area near the eyes, as it can cause significant amount of burning sensation. Let the lemon juice dry off completely and wash off with regular water. Do not go outside before washing it off, as else it could trigger skin sensitivity.
Cucumbers contain a lot of water which helps to soothe the skin and reduce any redness or itchy feeling. It also helps to calm the skin and reduce any signs of inflammation, and also helps to reduce very mild sun burn and sun tan.

Quick tip: Cut a few slices of cucumber or grate them to get the natural juice. You can add a few drops of lemon juice to this to make it more effective, as the lemon juice will have skin lightening and pigmentation reducing properties. Quick tip: Add the pulp of tomato to a few tbsp. of yogurt. Tomatoes have excellent bleaching properties and also act as a natural astringent and a toner, which will reduce your pore size and reduce the sun damage.
The best tip to reduce sun damage is to wear sunscreen at least 30 minutes before you go out to play Holi. In fact, you should wear sunscreen every day to reduce the damage as much as you can.
