The Italian frozen dessert is known as Gelato. It is made of sugar and milk, mixed with a variety of flavours. Its texture is more dense and flavourful as compared to normal ice cream. While Southern Italy is famous for fruity lighter variants called Sorbetto, Northern Italy on the other hand is known for its thicker dairy variants. Gelato is one dessert for the fitness freaks who love ice cream. Unlike ice cream it has lesser fat content as there is no cream in its ingredients.
