Our everyday food would taste boring without adding onions to them so would our salads and omelets, bhelpuris, sev puris and bhajias. Just the aroma of sauteed onions makes me hungry and crave for food, or a simple onion chutney can add a whole lot of zing to a boring meal. BUT in spite of that, the onion does not get as much respect or popularity as it should, especially in the raw form. It’s because of the strong smell it leaves in the mouth after it’s consumed.
