A good movie outing is incomplete without a tub of popcorn. Chunky, crunchy kernels of fresh popcorn which come in numerous flavours are just so addictive and delicious. We all have our favourite popcorn flavours, some like the usual salted, others like that bit of butter in their popcorn. Some like the tangy cheese powder, and the ones with a sweet tooth savour the sticky and sweet caramel popcorn. But these flavours are old now. Popcorn has so many new and innovative flavours now. Here are some of the most interesting popcorn flavours:

Honey Popcorn: Healthy Sweetness

A new flavor for all the sweet lovers out there! Honey, along with some brown butter when mixed together, gives a lovely flavor. Melt some butter in a pan, and then whisk in the honey. You can add some salt too if you wish to, so that it isn’t very sweet. Then drizzle this mixture over your popcorn and coat the popcorn with it evenly.

Matcha is the latest fad in the food industry, and it pairs really well with dark chocolate. This isn’t very sweet. A sprinkle of some sea salt gives an extra savoury note to it, and the dark chocolate makes it rich. Melt some dark chocolate in some coconut oil, and add some matcha powder to it. Stir this mixture into the popcorn until it is well-coated, and then add that yummy sprinkle of sea salt to add that extra oomph.

Wasabi has moved way beyond merely a sushi ingredient. It is being used in ice creams, macarons, and now popcorn too! A touch of butter with some wasabi paste, makes a perfect and spicy coating for the popcorn. You can combine this with some soy sauce, to counteract the spiciness of the dish. It is great for spice lovers!
