We are so madly and desperately after money, success, fame and every other material thing in life that we often tend to forget what really makes us happy. Now, I am not saying money and other things are not important. They are, in fact, the most important things. But, what we need to urgently realize is that your happiness, your mental health, your peace- all of these things need to find a place in your priority list as well. And one of the best ways to stay in touch with yourself, your emotions and your happiness is by being is touch with your hobby.
“But I do not really have a hobby”
In that case, let’s find you one!
What Do You Enjoy Doing?

There must be something, just one thing that you really enjoy doing. Something that makes you genuinely happy! How about simply converting that into your hobby?
“Is that possible?”
Yes, it is. It doesn’t matter if you do not have a hobby as per the book definition of the word “hobby”. As long as there is one activity you enjoy, you are okay. For example, a lot of people love eating. You are passionate about food. You don’t see this as a hobby now, do you? But you can! There are so many ways of converting this into a full-fledged hobby. For starters (pun intended), you can try cooking. Maybe you will love it, maybe you won’t. If that doesn’t work out, you can begin food blogging. Now, this has to work! All it requires from you is trying different food items at different places and writing how it tasted! There, found you a hobby! Love watching movies? Start writing reviews, maybe? Love dogs? Start volunteering at a dog care site, maybe? There is always something, trust me!
So, the bottom-line is to identify what you love doing and build a hobby out of it.
What Did You Enjoy Doing As A Kid?
Sometimes, you don’t even have an answer to “what do you enjoy doing”. If that is the case, change the question a bit and ask, “What did you enjoy doing as a kid?”. This will definitely yield an answer and you know what to do from there! Maybe adulthood robbed you of a potential hobby but who stopped you from reclaiming it? Go ahead and do it, by all means!
Start Trying New Things

Sometimes, you do not have an answer to any of the above two questions. Now, with no options left, all you can do is start trying new things. Keep trying one hobby after another until you find THE HOBBY. The best thing about this process is that you always, always find what you are looking for! That’s a promise. I am not even kidding. So, think of anything you might find interesting and give it a shot!
GO ON THEN, FIND YOURSELF A HOBBY!
Life is not life without a hobby! Not only it keeps you happy but also helps you become a better person as well as a better professional.
