While buying a new phone, we would often come across the name of the Android version installed in the phone. It doesn’t take a techie to discover that every Android version till date was named after some variety of dessert. From Gingerbread to Kitkat, Oreo to Lollipop, Android seems to love desserts a bit too much. Android Marshmallow was launched in 2015 and was the 6.0 version. It signified quite a step up despite Google’s routine developments in its yearly versions. It came with significant additions like Android Play, Custom Google Tabs, easier storage management, and the revolutionary Finger Print Scanner that allowed us to safeguard our privacy.
Nougat – The Nutty Love

Launched in 2016 as its 7.0 version, Android stayed true to its love for desserts, this time with an all-time favorite- Nougat. The Nougat version came with quite a few cool revamps such as the Split Screen Mode which lets you run different tabs simultaneously, the Data saver mode which saves our data when we’re running low. This Nougat had us drooling over Android’s improvements.
Oreo – The Favorite One

Android’s choice of dessert in 2017 for its 8.0 version, Oreo had us going yum after its release. With newly designed emojis, a picture-in-picture mode which lets you multitask, app shortcuts, scanning apps for the phone’s safety from viruses with Google Play Protect, and Notification dost on apps, Android had us going twisting and dunking with its Oreo.

The highlights of the improvements in this Android version include app predictions, easier user interface with a new navigation system, an android dashboard which helps you economize on the time you spend on your phone and how, a fantastic wind-down mode which switches on Do Not Disturb according to your preference. Be it apple or pumpkin, you would definitely not want to miss out on a bite of this.
