Whether You Like It Or Not, Emraan Hashmi Has Stopped Kissing!

His ‘kiss ka kissas’ you’ll no longer hear. The guy is into more serious stuff these days!

While it may come as a relief for some, there are some who might be very disappointed to know that Emraan Hashmi has stopped kissing! He’s moved away from being a serial kisser and the serial kisser tag no longer is relevant for him!

Like Akshay Kumar, Emraan has moved on to more serious stuff in life. When I say serious I mean more socially relevant stuff. He’s become a more responsible citizen now and instead of encouraging people to kiss, he will now be seen encouraging people to make a difference in society in his two upcoming films.

Emraan Hashmi plays a professor in Cheat India

One of his upcoming releases is titled Cheat India and the teaser of the same was unveiled just recently. Through Cheat India, Emraan is all set to expose the Indian education system and its discrepancies. Emraan took to Twitter to get across the message to the people concerned and wrote; “Students, parents, educationists, politicos, media and countrymen..the teaser of Cheat India.”

Cheat India is said to have been inspired by true events. In the film, Emraan plays Rakesh Singh who is a professor who believes in exchanging knowledge for money. The film points towards malpractices in our country’s education sector and the tagline of the film that says;‘Nakal Mein Hi Akal Hai’ proves it! The shoot of the film is complete and the post-production is going on. Cheat India is all set to release on 25 January 2019.

Emraan will also be seen in Oscar-winning director Danis Tanovic’s Tigers which will make its digital world premiere on 21 November on Zee5. In Tigers again, Emraan has an interesting role of a salesman who sells formula milk for infants. Emraan’s character figures out that the formula is slowly poisoning the children and he tries to nab the culprits and bring justice. It is based on the Nestle baby food scandal that affected USA, Europe, and Southeast Asia. Tigers was premiered in 2014 at Toronto International Film Festival The film also stars Adil Hussain, Geetanjali Thapa, Satyadeep Mishra, Danny Huston, and Supriya Pathak among others.

Besides these two films, he will also feature in a Netflix original series titled Bard of Blood. Looks like Emraan wants to change his serial kisser image and wants people to take him more seriously now!
