In today’s competitive world, it is difficult to balance health and workload simultaneously. This has been a year of poor health for some Bollywood celebrities as they have been falling seriously ill for some time now. Though some have survived their personal health wars already, many others are still fighting their battles – which is a cause of concern.

There are several Bollywood celebrities who have survived or are battling severe diseases. A couple of days ago, veteran actor Rishi Kapoor posted a message on his social media saying he is taking a break from work for a few days and going to the US for treatment. It didn’t take much time for rumor mills to get working overtime and speculating and saying things like he is suffering from cancer. His ailment has not been disclosed yet but from recent pictures shared by Priyanka Chopra when she went to meet him, shows a very frail looking Rishki Kapoor. He was also unable to attend his mother Krishna Raj Kapoor’s funeral a few days ago, owing to his ill-health. His wife Neetu Singh Kapoor and son Ranbir Kapoor are with him in the US too. We would next see him in a father-son drama “Rajma Chawal” along with Anirudh Tanwar and Amyra Dastur and we wish for his speedy recovery.

Sonali Bendre was diagnosed with metastatic cancer a couple of months ago and we all know about the tough times she is going through from the details on her social media. Owing to this, she had to step down from the judge’s position from the ongoing reality show “India’s Best Draamebaaz”.

On the other hand, Irrfan Khan has been suffering from neuroendocrine tumor and has now completed his fourth cycle of chemotherapy in London. Thus, he could not be a part of a special screening for his black comedy “Blackmail” in April. As of now, the audience is waiting for his upcoming movies “Hindi Medium 2”, “Takadum”, “Sapna Didi”, “Song of Scorpions” and “Puzzle” – all of which have been halted till his full recovery.

Earlier, actress Lisa Ray was diagnosed with multiple myeloma but is now in good health after proper treatment. Manisha Koirala too is a cancer survivor. Other Bollywood celebrities such as Saif Ali Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Shah Rukh Khan, and even Sonam Kapoor have fought illnesses and had to make changes to their lifestyles.

B-town celebs, friends, and fans have been very supportive of Bendre, Khan, and Kapoor and they have shared their best wishes on social media for the speedy recovery of their favorite stars. Bendre’s husband Goldie Behl and son Ranveer are with her in her toughest time, and she has shared an emotional post about missing the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations at home this year. To make things even more poignant, her twelve-year-old son Ranveer has thanked everyone on social media for being a huge support system to his mother. Irrfan Khan is also badly missed by his fans and well-wishers and the entire team of his latest movie “Karwaan”.

Although the celebs of Bollywood live glamorous lives as apparent to us, this is a very demanding career indeed. They have to suffer irregular mealtimes and food habits. They have to work late nights and early mornings which perhaps makes them vulnerable to diseases. They are always expected to look, act and perform a certain way which probably increases intense pressure on their minds and may cause mental health conditions, which in turn metamorphose into physical conditions as well. In all probability, all these reasons could have contributed to their poor health.

We wish for the speedy recovery of all our favorite stars, without whom our lives will never be the same!
