The movie, being a suspense thriller, will find Sharman experimenting more deeply with the genre of suspense post his performances in movies like Hate Story 3 and 1920 London. This movie will see Kaashi, played by Sharman Joshi, in search of his sister, Ganga, who disappears unnoticed one fine day. A considerable part of the movie has been picturised in Varanasi, and apart from being able to witness the quintessential ghats of Varanasi, the movie pays a different kind of tribute to the city as a crestfallen brother leaves no stone unturned in search of his beloved sister. In the movie, Sharman Joshi is seen playing the role of the one who earns his money by burning pyres at the Manikarnika Ghats of Varanasi. He leads a simple livelihood until one day, his sister goes missing. And from then onwards, he devotes his life in looking for his sister, accompanied by Aishwarya Devan, who plays the role of a journalist.
The trailer of the movie, which just came out, shows the plight of Kaashi, the perplexed brother, who goes from Varanasi to Mumbai to Mussoorie to find her sister out, meanwhile, unravelling myriad layers of the story. As the trailer goes, he gets duped a person in the ghats of Varanasi, who puns on the words “Ganga”, saying that in Varanasi, you find Ganga everywhere. Sharman Joshi has been given the apt appearance of a distraught brother and the presence of Aishwarya Devan beside him is surely a treat to the eyes. In between the illusion and reality of life lies the confusion and dilemma of Kaashi. The trailer shows a court scene in which the lawyer diminishes the character of Ganga to be a mere delusion of Kaashi.
The movie is all set to release on 26th October and we are sure it’s going to be worth a watch.
